Make hot water part of a better energy plan
Hot water demand continues throughout the year, even when the space heating is switched off. ESSENTA provides a dedicated way to meet that demand by transferring heat from air into stored domestic hot water.
Designed for households and selected smaller business applications, it offers an alternative to conventional electric water heating. The right installation starts with an understanding of your daily usage, busiest periods and available air source.
KronoHP can help you explore whether ESSENTA suits your property and identify the technical information needed for the next step.
- Dedicated domestic hot water preparation

Thoughtful technology for everyday hot water
Efficient water heating
A COP of 4.16 under specified indoor-air test conditions demonstrates efficient heat transfer into domestic hot water.
Generous integrated storage
A 300-litre cylinder provides stored hot water, with system selection based on demand and recovery requirements.
Considered acoustic design
A structurally separated compressor section and optimised airflow help manage operating noise.
Flexible air connections
Top and side connection options help adapt the intake and discharge arrangement to the installation.
Practical everyday control
Use operating modes, schedules and a boost function to manage hot water preparation.
Natural refrigerant
ESSENTA uses R290, a natural refrigerant with a low global warming potential.
Plan around the way hot water is used
From energy-efficient new homes to complex retrofits and light commercial installations, Kronoterm heat pumps are engineered to deliver reliable performance wherever they are installed.
Designed to keep air moving smoothly
ESSENTA separates the compressor section from the airflow path through the evaporator. Its aerodynamic design reduces air resistance, supporting efficient fan operation and helping manage sound. Choose the installation position with care, considering neighbouring rooms, air routes and the building’s acoustic requirements.
Choose the air arrangement for your space
ESSENTA supports room-air and ducted configurations, with options to use outdoor air or suitable exhaust air within a designed arrangement. Taking heat from air cools it. Plan the intake and discharge routes around this effect, alongside airflow, condensate drainage and service access.
Prepare hot water around your routine
Daily and weekly programming helps you plan operating periods, while the boost function provides additional heating support when required. Where suitable solar PV and control arrangements are installed, ESSENTA can also use surplus electricity for water heating. The configuration should be agreed as part of the system design.
